361 peaks with consistent spectral matches, 826 peaks with no confident match (CN mismatch or low similarity suppressed)

About This Analysis

Hydrocarbon classification: Peak positions are from the VUV Analytics APR (Automated Peak Recognition) system, which assigns each detected peak a hydrocarbon class (n-paraffin, iso-paraffin, monocycloparaffin, etc.) and carbon number based on 2D retention time position within calibrated GCxGC regions.

Spectral matching: Each peak's VUV absorption spectrum (125-240 nm, 646 channels) is compared against a reference library of 378 jet-fuel-range hydrocarbons.

Current limitations:

  • Peak spectra are extracted from a single scan at peak maximum with local background subtraction.
  • The reference library contains 378 compounds, which does not cover all possible isomers.
  • Co-eluting compounds within a single modulation may produce mixed spectra.
